☼A Tropical Easter☼

Rodan + Fields: Perfect Summertime Skin

Summer’s coming quickly and everyone wants flawless skin and a gorgeous summertime glow.  I recently tried out a few Rodan +Fields products that can make this happen!

To make my skin glow, I used the sugar and salt Micro-Dermabrasion Paste followed by the night serum (pictured below in the small blue capsules).  Fun fact: The Micro-Dermabrasion Paste was featured in both Allure and Lucky Magazine!  After using both of these products, my face felt 100 times smoother than before.  Who doesn't love pampering themselves? The combination of these two Rodan + Fields products were like a mini at home facial treat!  I also tried out the Body Micro-Dermabrasion bar.  I used in the shower to exfoliate and cleanse my skin.  Unlike most exfoliators, this product wasn't too abrasive and it left my skin feeling soft, clean and so fresh!  

Exfoliating before applying self tanners is a great way to ensure the tan to last for a  longer amount of time. So, after exfoliating my skin in the shower, I later applied the Rodan + Fields Foaming Sunless Tan product.  The foaming self tanner has to be my favorite and is now a summer essential for me!  The foam consistency of the product is mess free and super easy to apply.  I’m always looking for new self tanning products since laying out in the sun's strong UV rays are no good for the skin.  After using the Sunless Tan the next morning I realized what a difference the self tanner made.  Who doesn't love an even natural-looking tan without having to sit out for hours?  This Rodan + Fields product gave me a perfect glow and that was just after one night!  If you're scared of applying a self tanner have no fear because if you do make a small mistake, acetone or nail polish remover can be used to remove unintended color.  If you want your friends asking which tropical island you were just vacationing on, you have to try out this product!

Beach in a Bottle?

Ah the sweet smell of summertime. The summer months are quickly approaching and if you're like me, you like to switch up you perfume scents.  Winter time is great for heavy musks and warm scents, however the warmer months is the time to break out the light floral spray and body mists.  My new personal favorite scent is Beach by Bobbi Brown. Close your eyes and take one whiff of this perfume and you'll think your actually at the beach. It's amazing how they managed to get this scent. Kudos to you Bobbi Brown because you have successfully placed summertime feelings inside a bottle. 

Next time you pass a perfume or  Bobbi Brown counter take a minute to smell this amazing perfume.

A Spring Statement for Every Occasion

Hurray! Today is the first day of spring, finally. It's now time to break out those colorful pieces that sit in the back of your closet all winter just waiting to come out.  All winter I know I stare at my spring and summer clothes wanting to wear them.  

This Spring statement necklaces continue to be all the rage and will be so perfect for this transition in warm weather.  Fashionable statement jewelry is a great and easy way to make it look like you but a little more time and effort into an outfit.  Below is one of my favorite styles of statement necklaces, the J.Crew "Bubble Necklace".  The pop of pink against this white tank top is so adorable.  Colored blazers are also so great for spring because they will keep you warm while still looking put together and polished. 

Still got the winter blues? Well have no fear, bring your blued toned clothing right into spring.  I love this layered statement necklace, especially against this indigo top.  The pop of gold against the blue is so chic.  I love the way the small dainty circle necklace is layered in with the chunky, fabulous statement piece.  This gorgeous necklace was purchased at Francesca's. 

For a more mature, preppy style you can rock pearls and diamonds right into the spring time.  This gorgeous statement necklace was purchased from J.Crew around Christmas time.  However, this Christmas gift can be worn year round with the right outfits.  Again, I love the layered look with the gold monogram and the bold chunky statement necklace.
