Deals and Steals: FALL Edition

Old Navy, DSW and Charming Charlie are three stores I normally don't go into but recently decided to do some shopping in.  Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at what I found and purchased inside these three stores.  The short black booties were purchased from DSW and are perfect for fall.  Paired with jeans or a skirt and tights, these boots would be adorable. What I love most about the boots are the price, $49 and DSW always has great deals and coupons floating around! I ended up getting them for $29, how awesome!  My personal favorite items is the plaid shirt (pictured above) from Old Navy.  Plaid and flannel shirts are so perfect for the fall paired with a vest.  Lastly I purchased this blue statement necklace which came with a pair of matching earrings (so cute).  Charming Charlie is a super affordable store that sells fashionable pieces such as this one.  What I love most about this store is that everything is sectioned off and color coordinated; it's basically an OCD girl's dream. Let me know below or tweet me at @MissGlambition1 and let me know what your favorite fall pieces are?

Fall in Love: Staple Season Items

Happy November! Let my favorite time of the year begin. The leaves are changing and so are our everyday outfit choices. Warm, bulky sweaters and the boots are ready to come out.  Some of my favorites sweater choices for this fall is this grey J.Crew Factory sweater with dark brown leather details on the elbows. I'm also loving my short Aldo boots and as always, my Rebecca Minkoff black MAC bag.

What are you loving this fall? Tell me in the comments below, I'd love to know.

NYC College Fashion Week 2014

Last night I attended Her Campus' College Fashion Week 2014 at the Santos House in New York City! The night started off with a photos in front of a step & repeat followed by a visit to booths of the events amazing sponsors including European Wax Center, Tresemme, bareMinerals, Simon Premium Outlets and boohoo.com!
After visiting all the booths, exploring the brands, getting my brows vamped up by the ladies of the European Wax Center, it was time for the show to finally begin! There were so many amazing styles that the models rocked on the runway, it was hard to pick a favorite look! Below was one of my favorite outfits, particularly I love the metallic midi skirt pictured below (click here for a better look at the gorgeous piece).  This is an adorable piece that can be a staple for your fall wardrobe.  If we are really planning ahead here, this metallic skirt would be perfect for a New Year's Eve night out. If you want to check out more styles visit boohoo.com for more fashion and looks that were featured in the Her Campus College Fashion Week 2014!

After the event wrapped up, on our way out we received a goody bag filled with samples and treats from the events amazing sponsors.  All in all, the event was a huge success and I hope to return next year for NYC College Fashion Week 2015!

Color Clutch: The Ultimate Nail Polish Space Saver

The secret is out...And yes it is true-I am a nail polish-aholic. Over the years my collection of polishes has grown from 5 to 155 and with that many polishes, it's hard to find the space to store them all! I recently came across a new product called Color Clutch which is a new nail polish storage product.  It's a compact storage solution for nail polish that can store up to 18 bottles in only 2.5 inches of space.  This product is sleek and the box can fit right on your shelf, like a book!

This is a beauty storage product that is definitely worth checking out.  It's great for girls like me who live in dorms or small apartments and simply don't have the luxurious space to store polishes. Learn more about Color Clutch by clicking here and feel free to watch the video at the beginning! YAY for compact and organized storage!

Soft Waves for Fall

Each year I switch back and forth between straight or curly hair being my go to favorite hairstyle. Since ,y hair is naturally wavy, everyday I either reach for my curing iron or the straightener.  This Fall, I've been favoring the curing wand. Yup, I am loving waves for this fall.  I use a Sultra one inch curling wand that I purchased from Sephora a few years ago.  I always use a Tresemme heat protectant ($4 at Target) before I use the wand to protect my hair from any damage the wand can do.  Personally, I justify using heat on my hair in the Fall and Winter.

Braided Twist on a Classic Ponytail

1. Begin with a normal high ponytail.  This look works best with straight, smooth hair.
2. Grab two sections of hair from each side of the pony and braid them all the way to the bottom. Secure the braids with a clear elastic.
3. Begin wrapping the braids around the main portion of the ponytail. Criss cross them to make a fun and unique pattern.
4. When you get to the bottom of both braids, gather all of the remaining hair and again secure it with a clear elastic.
5. Top it off with some hairspray and you're good to go!

Midnight Memories: Limited Edition Make Up by One Direction

Okay so Louis, Zayne, Liam, Niall and my personal favorite Harry are obviously not applying smokey eyes and red lips on an everyday basis.  However, there newest line of products they created aren't too bad! I recently received a package filled with goodies from the newest Makeup by One Direction Line. The "Midnight Memories" set includes an eye shadow palette, eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss, lipstick, stencil kit and a nail polish.  In the kit the red lipstick and lip gloss were so pigmented.  My favorite part was the metallic nail polish "Right Now". This makeup set is great for all you One Direction lovers and is even a perfect gift for tweens & teens.

Check out https://www.facebook.com/MakeupbyOneDirection for tutorials and more information about the products! This post was brought to you by BrandBacker.
